Preview appointment:

Thank-you for choosing me and entrusting me with your Hair & Makeup for your big day! This is such a special day and I am honoured and so happy to be a part of it!

Please arrive at your scheduled time for your Bridal Preview appointment.

I generally won’t be ready earlier than the scheduled time due to having to set up and prepare for your booking. Please come without a full face of makeup and if having Hair styling please ensure that hair is washed and dried the night prior to your appointment.

Bring along any reference pictures to you Bridal Preview. (If possible have them printed out in colour) Keep an open mind as I will often suggest ideas that may suit you and we will work together to design a look that compliments you and allows you to feel your most beautiful and naturally enhanced. The Bridal Trial/Preview is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and it also allows us to try out the ideas for the day. If any changes need to be made we can discuss these and apply them to the day.

Lastly, I suggest having a chat to your Photographer/Videographer and asking them what time they will be needing you to be ready with Hair & Makeup….. We will work back from the Ceremony time and in order to do this we will need to have these details to put together a running schedule for the day.

On the Wedding Day:

For the day I ask that you have a think about the order you would like your Bridal party/guests to have Hair & Makeup on the day, keeping in mind that the Bride is never completely last – usually 3rd last with Hair & Second last with Makeup. It is important to word up and prepare guests having Hair/Makeup to be well organising on the day and arrive by their scheduled time.

Time does seem to slip away and it’s important that the day runs smoothly and you can all feel relaxed and really enjoy the process. Prepare yourself in advance in case there is a rush towards the end of the getting ready process – have everything well organised and make time to get into into your dress…. Your room should be ready for the Photographer, undergarments ready, perfume, shoes etc.

You can have a small bag for the day with a few things on hand. Keep a few tissues handy, cotton tips, a small comb, small hair spray, (for when removing the veil) a few bobby pins, touch up lipstick, pressed powder etc. Finally, remember to relax and trust that you are well prepared and ready to go. It’s one of the most exciting days of your life… Have fun and just go with the flow now. Everything should be well and truly organised and it’s time to just enjoy the day and let go of anything that has been missed or forgotten. It won’t matter when you say ’I do’ and you want to be fully present and in the moment on your big day……
